Good old Sevin Dust
I usually only review professional pest control products, but since it’s Gardening season and people from coast to coast are starting their gardens, I thought I’d mention a product that they all need. For those of you who have never tried it in your garden maybe you should. It seems Sevin has been around forever. It is requested by more than a few visitors to our retail pest control store. It’s easy to use and safe for eatables. You can check the label to see how long after treatment you may safely harvest and eat.
Sevin’s secret is ” it sits on the leaf and does not penetrate plant tissue, and is not Systemic.

Fall armyworm, Japanese beetle, flea beetles, leafhoppers stink bugs, raspberry maggot, blueberry aphid, blister beetles, box elder bugs, lace bugs, psyllids, leafrollers, tent caterpillars, thrips, millipedes, sod webworms, ticks, earwigs, ants and other insects listed on product label.

How to Apply:
Using a hand duster (for small jobs), apply a thin even layer of dust over the upper and lower leaf surfaces. The best way to use dust is with a dust gun, either the pump model (medium size gardens) or a rotary type like Dustin Mizer (for large gardens) is probably the best way to get under the leaves where insects like to hide and feed. Refer to product label for preharvest interval days.
Lawns: 4 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. Vegetable Gardens: 0.5-1.0 lbs. per 1,000 sq ft.
